How it works?

Get in touch with me by using the request form or email address to discuss the portrait required.

The Process

  1. Choosing the reference photo to be drawn is the basis of the first stage. I believe this is the most instrumental part of the process, therefore I take the utmost care in deciding with you to choose which photo you would like to be drawn. For information on what type of photos to submit, please see our Photo Guide.
  2. The size of the portrait will depend on the number of pets/people. An A4 portrait will include 2 pets 0r 2 people. 3 or more will be on an A3 portrait this will be at an extra cost.
  1. Once we have decided on the reference photo, I can add this to my calendar and provide you with an approximate timescale. I will then start the portrait and keep you updated with progress pictures during the process of the drawing.
  2. I require a 50% non refundable deposit which will be paid via bank transfer at which point you will be added to my calendar.

    FAQ

How long does a portrait take?

Once we have been in contact and decided on the picture, I can book you in for my next available slot and set a timescale according to the calendar. Please allow up to four to six weeks for the portrait to be completed as I still work full time for the NHS. However, if there is a specific deadline i.e., for a birthday present, I will try my utmost best to have it completed a week before the occasion. I do recommend you book as early as possible to avoid any disappointments with delivery dates.

When do I need to pay?

To secure your booking, I will send an invoice for a 50% non-refundable deposit to your email address, payment can be made via bank transfer. Once the payment has been made, I can then book you in and start the drawing. In the mean time I will send you progress photos to ensure that you are happy with the portrait. Upon completion, I will send you the final photograph and when you are 100% happy, the remaining balance will need to be paid in full before I post out the original drawing.

Do I need both people/pets in the same photograph to work from?

No, you can have separate photographs and I will be able to bring them all into one portrait as long as they are high resolution photographs. Please see photo guide for more information.

How much is delivery to the UK?

UK delivery is included within the cost of your portrait. Your final portrait will be delivered with Royal Mail Special Delivery and a tracking number will be provided.

I live abroad, do you ship internationally?

Yes, commissions are shipped all over the world. However there is an extra cost to this, again please allow extra time for the delivery. Please bear in mind that due to Covid-19 restrictions, some countries may ask for an extra custom charge upon delivery.

Can I get it mounted and framed?

Yes, both can be achieved. However this will be at an extra cost. We can discuss further once we have agreed on reference photo. The mounts and frames are all bespoke from our trusted Guild Certified Framers.

    Copyright Issues?

I am happy to draw any commissions as long as the original photo has been taken from yourself. However, if you would like a commission of a public figure or a celebrity, you will need to provide me with written permission from the photographer who has taken the original image so that I am able to use their image as a reference photograph.

In regards to your personal photographs I retain full copyright on all of my artwork produced.

Clients who do not wish for their commissions to be posted on my social media/website must notify me during our consultation period.
